The Strip

Concept.

Leaked nudes have the power to destroy women’s careers, reputations, and even their lives. Unless, of course, they’re hanging in a gallery.

But here’s the double standard: women make up 76% of nude subjects in art, yet only 34% of represented artists in Australian galleries, and just 11% in the US.

The Strip is a creative movement that helps women reclaim their leaked nudes by transforming them into powerful, celebrated works of art, while also increasing the presence of women artists in galleries, where they belong.

In partnership with leading Australian female artists, Diageo will help women transform their leaked nudes into powerful works of art, turning shame into self-expression and violation into visibility.

From hacked celebrities to victims of revenge porn, we’ll work with anyone who wants to take back the narrative.

The artworks will be unveiled on International Women’s Day in a public exhibition at the Art Gallery of New South Wales, increasing the number of female artists on display, while stripping leaked nudes of the power to hurt.

And to stand in solidarity, Tanqueray bottles will strip down too, removing their iconic labels as a symbol of support.
Proceeds from every label-free bottle will go directly to organisations supporting victims of revenge porn and those affected by image-based abuse.
